There are moments in ministry when a need becomes more than just a number—it becomes personal. This is one of those moments.

Here in the Philippines, I’ve been blessed to work face-to-face with families who are doing their best to survive and raise their children in a world that seems stacked against them. In this season, a heartbreaking yet urgent need has come to the forefront: 30 beautiful, eager, school-aged children whose families simply cannot afford to send them to school.

This blog post is not just an update—it's a call to action, a plea for partners in hope, and a reminder that small sacrifices from us can create life-changing opportunities for others.

🎒 The Struggle: When Education Is a Luxury

While many of us see school as a given, in some corners of the world, it's a privilege—one that's often out of reach.

Each of the 30 children we’ve encountered wants to learn. They want to dream beyond their current conditions. But the harsh reality is that $100/month per child stands between them and that dream.

That amount covers more than just school fees. It provides:

  • 📚 Tuition, supplies, and learning materials

  • 👟 School uniforms and shoes

  • 🥣 Daily meals to nourish hungry bodies

  • 🚐 Transportation to and from school

  • 🕊️ Spiritual mentorship and discipleship through our ministry

🌱 What We’re Doing

At Pilgrim Outreach Ministries, we’ve committed not to turn away from these children. With God’s help—and yours—we’ve launched an initiative to raise $3,000 per month to fully cover all 30 children for this school year.

This is not charity. This is investment. Investment in minds, in futures, and in a generation that can one day turn poverty into purpose.

And make no mistake: this is Kingdom work.

I recently spoke with one of the children’s mothers. Tears welled in her eyes as she said, “We know we can’t do it alone. But now we know we’re not alone.”

Let’s make sure no child has to feel forgotten simply because they were born into less.

📖 A Final Word

Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these... you did for Me.”

You may not be able to reach the whole world—but today, you can reach one child. And that’s where real change begins.
