📖 Does God Still Speak to Us Today? Throughout Scripture, especially in the Old Testament, we see God speaking audibly and directly to His people. He spoke to Abraham through covenant, to Moses through a burning bush, and to Elijah through a still, small voice. But does God still speak to us in this present day? I believe He absolutely does. But perhaps not as frequently or as sensationally as many report. More often than not, I’ve found that God speaks quietly—gently impressing His will upon our hearts rather than booming from the clouds. 📌 Here’s the truth: We can’t rely solely on our feelings, thoughts, dreams, visions, or even what we hear with our physical ears. Our walk with God must be built on faith. “The just shall live by faith.” – Romans 1:17 And if we call God our Father, we must also learn how to live as His children— listening , trusting , and following . 🕊️ Learning to Hear His Voice Jesus made it clear: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and t...

🕊️ Why Should You — or Shouldn’t You — Attend Church? I’ve spent most of my life surrounded by the rhythms of church life. From Sunday School and Vacation Bible School to revival meetings, baptisms, and Bible studies — I’ve seen the full spectrum of what it means to “go to church.” Church has been a regular part of my routine, my upbringing, and my community for as long as I can remember. But here’s the truth: It wasn’t until I surrendered my heart and life to Jesus Christ at the age of 14 that I truly understood the biblical reason for going to church. 🙋‍♂️ So Why Do We Go to Church? Some people go because they’re trying to check the box. Others go because they feel guilty if they don’t. Some just need a little spiritual boost to get through the week. But none of those are the right reasons. Yes, Hebrews 10:25 reminds us: “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the...
✝️ Christianity: Not Just Something You Do—It’s Who You Are There’s a dangerous misconception floating around today—that Christianity is a part-time hobby, a weekend ritual, or a list of dos and don'ts. But let me tell you from experience: Christianity is not something you do. It’s who you are. Or more accurately, it’s who you’re supposed to be. This month marks 53 years since I gave my life to Christ . I wasn’t looking for Him, but He was looking for me. And He used the most powerful vessel He could find— a praying great-grandmother , 63 years my senior, who refused to let hell have me. I didn’t understand God. I had no clue about heaven, hell, or the weight of eternity. But she knew . She saw past what I was into and spoke into who I was called to be. I’ll never forget the day she cornered me and said, point blank: “Boy, you are not going to hell! You will preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.” It wasn’t a suggestion. It was a prophetic declaration fueled by relentless ...
We Cannot Face Satan On Our Own Terms — Only Through the Cross As Believers, we must never make the mistake of thinking we can confront Satan in our own strength, even by imitating how Jesus faced him during His earthly ministry. Jesus met the enemy as the sinless Son of God—perfect in obedience, unmatched in holiness, and without the corruption of sin that taints our human nature. We are foolish to believe we can meet Satan on the same terms. We are not Christ—we are His followers. And our power does not come from ourselves, but from what He has already accomplished on our behalf. The only way of true escape from the enemy’s grip is not self-effort, religious works, or spiritual bravado. It is to look exclusively to the finished work of Jesus at the Cross —where the battle was decisively won, and where the enemy was eternally defeated. At the Cross, Christ became our Substitute . Through His perfect life and His willing, sacrificial death, He conquered the powers of darkness on all c...
