📌 Thursday, December 31, 2025 — Daily Devotional 🔗 Get your copy: https://vist.ly/4hsd8 “Strength for the Step You’re On” It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you think about everything at once—the expectations, the responsibilities, the unknowns. When life feels like too much, we often forget a simple truth: God rarely reveals the whole path at once. He gives light for the step you’re standing on. You don’t need strength for the entire journey today. You only need strength for this moment . And God is faithful to supply exactly that. ㅤ 📖 Isaiah 41:10 says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” ㅤ Notice what God promises. He doesn’t promise the absence of difficulty—but His presence in it. He doesn’t remove every fear—but He replaces it with assurance. ㅤ That means when you feel weak, God strengthens. When you feel alone, God is near. When you feel unsure, G...

✝️ QUESTION OF THE WEEK From Jordan , 16 — Mesa, Arizona ㅤ “Hi, Pastor James. I’m kind of nervous asking this, but here it goes… I feel pressured to fit in at school and online. Everyone seems so confident about who they are and what they believe. I act like I’m okay, but inside I’m confused about my identity, my faith, and where I belong. If I really trust God, why do I still feel insecure and afraid of rejection? How do I stay true to my faith when I just want to be accepted?” ㅤ Hi Jordan — thank you for your courage in asking a question many teens and young adults carry silently. ㅤ What you’re feeling doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re growing. Insecurity often appears just before clarity. ㅤ Here’s what I want you to hear clearly: Wanting to belong is human — learning who you belong to is spiritual. ㅤ The world says, “Change yourself to be accepted.” God says, “Come as you are, and I’ll shape you with purpose.” ㅤ ✨ Your worth is not meas...

Standing at the Edge of Time: The Final Days of 2025 This week marks the final three days of 2025 . That simple statement carries more weight than we often allow ourselves to feel. Three days. A handful of hours. A few remaining moments that will quietly close the door on another year of our lives—forever. It raises a sobering but necessary question: Where will you be, or what will you be doing, when the clock rolls into 2026? Many will be celebrating. Some will be sleeping. Others will be working. But beyond the moment itself lies an even more important question—one that deserves honest reflection: What will you do with the days that follow, from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026? Time has a way of moving forward without asking our permission. It does not slow down for unfinished conversations, delayed obedience, or postponed decisions. It simply marches on. And with each passing year, one truth becomes increasingly clear: none of us are getting any younger . The Gift—a...

The Harvest Awaits: A Prayer and a Call for 2026 2026 will be here in a matter of hours. As we stand on the threshold of a new year, there is no more fitting prayer for the days ahead than the words of Jesus Himself in Matthew 9:37–38 : “Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.” This must be our prayer for 2026. The harvest is ready. Souls are searching. Hearts are open. Yet the need remains urgent— the laborers are still few . And this harvest is not confined to our neighborhoods or even our nation. It is local, national, and worldwide . Just a few days ago, a young lady sent her first-ever donation to this ministry. She humbly called it her “seed faith” , sharing that more would follow. Though she and her family faithfully attend a local church, God has stirred her heart with something bigger—a worldwide vision . That is how the ha...

Discernment or Distrust? Knowing the Difference Matters In recent years, discernment has become a popular word in Christian conversation. It is often invoked to justify opinions, conclusions, and even separations from other believers. Yet Scripture calls us to pause and examine something critically important: not everything we label as discernment is truly biblical discernment . We must be very careful that what we call discernment is not, in reality, a suspicious mind at work . What Biblical Discernment Is—and What It Is Not True discernment is not fueled by fear, cynicism, or a constant expectation of deception. It does not begin with assumptions, nor does it thrive on rumors, tone-reading, or selective listening. Biblical discernment begins with submission to God , reverence for His Word , and dependence on the Holy Spirit . Suspicion looks for evidence to confirm what it already believes. Discernment seeks God’s wisdom before forming a conclusion. Suspicion divides prematu...

📌 Work While It Is Day — The Final Full Week of the Year As the final full week of 2025 approaches, it’s hard not to pause and reflect on just how quickly this year has passed—and how truly brief life is. So often, we become consumed with dates and deadlines… appointments and obligations… work, family, bills, responsibilities, and the relentless pace of life. Yet with the close of each day , we are one day closer to our final day on earth. Jesus reminds us with sobering clarity: 📖 “I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4) As we stand at the threshold of another year coming to an end, let this be a moment not of fear—but of focus . A moment to realign our priorities, redeem our time, and ask ourselves how we are investing the days God has given us. The calendar is turning. The clock is moving. The question is not how much time remains —but how we will use it . Let us enter this final full week with purpose,...

📌 Freedom to Worship Is a Gift—Global Mission Is Our Responsibility More than likely, many reading this post were born or live in the United States. While we have our share of challenges, one distinction we still hold above much of the world is the freedom to worship openly . The U.S. continues to send out more missionaries than any other nation—and that is something to be thankful for. Yet if we’re not careful, that blessing can make us insensitive to the countless places where such freedom does not exist. Pilgrim Outreach Ministries is an international ministry. For 20 years , we served in Italy , preaching, teaching, and proclaiming Jesus Christ. Now, we are relocating to the Philippines , where we will continue the same mission—faithfully and boldly. The fruit of this ministry speaks for itself: Lives changed. Souls saved. The sick healed. The bound delivered. The lost restored. Believers filled with the Holy Spirit. We are asking you to do three things: Pray for us Extend your...

📌 Title: Still Glad to Go to the House of the Lord 📖 Psalm 122:1 “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” If you are blessed to belong to a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, Holy Spirit–filled church —where lives are changed, souls are set free, bondages are broken, and altars are still open for anyone to weep their way back to glory— count it all joy . This is no longer the norm in today’s culture. In an age of isolation, compromise, and convenience, God still calls His people together. We were never meant to walk this journey alone. We need one another—our prayers joined, our voices lifted, our hands raised in surrender and praise. And what better place to be—on a Sunday morning, or whatever day you assemble—than in the presence of the Lord, worshiping together, encouraging one another, and declaring that God is still moving among His people . If you have that kind of church… cherish it. Support it. Pray for it. And never take it for granted...

📌 Before You Decide Anything—Ask Yourself This One Question 📘 New Book Announcement What if the greatest mistake we make isn’t choosing wrong — but choosing before we pray ? In his newest and most piercing work, Did You First Pray About It? , James Langston confronts a question so simple, yet so rarely practiced, that it has quietly shaped destinies, marriages, ministries, finances, and futures—for better or worse. This is not a feel-good devotional. This is not religious noise. This is a spiritual mirror. Page by page, Langston exposes how often believers ask God to fix decisions He was never invited to lead . With raw honesty, biblical depth, and a prophetic urgency, this book presses the reader to pause… reflect… and reconsider how they approach life’s most critical moments. There’s a certain holy unease in these pages. A quiet conviction. A lingering sense that God has been trying to speak—but we’ve been moving too fast to listen. You won’t just read this book. You’ll wr...

📌 Title: Fear Not—Even When Nothing Seems to Change 📖 Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” You may have heard the phrase “fear not” is found 365 times in the Bible—one reminder for every day of the year. While that number is more symbolic than exact, the truth behind it is undeniable: God repeatedly calls His people to live free from fear. Across translations, phrases like “fear not” and “do not be afraid” appear dozens of times, underscoring how deeply God understands the human heart. Perhaps you’re reading this while carrying fear of your own. You’ve prayed. You’ve fasted. You’ve wept before God—and yet nothing seems to have changed. Your circumstances remain the same. Your struggle still feels heavy. Does that mean God hasn’t heard you? No. God knew what you would need—and when you would need it—long before you were born. Sometimes the m...

✝️ From Existing to Truly Living — A Personal Testimony & Invitation I’ve walked with Jesus as His child for more than 53 years . And even though there have been times I stumbled—times I fell flat on my face—I have never once longed for the life I lived before Him . Because the truth is this: without Jesus, you are not really living—you are simply existing until death comes for you. People don’t reject Jesus because He is a charlatan or a deceiver. They reject Him because He confronts sin . As long as you don’t have to come face-to-face with the real you, everything feels fine. But the moment the biblical light of truth shines into the hidden places of your heart, something happens. You don’t recoil from God. You recoil from what you see in yourself. That conviction you feel—that discomfort, that uneasiness—is not hatred. It’s truth . And truth, before it heals, first exposes. If this describes your life right now, I want to invite you into the most important moment you will ...

Cecilia is __ years old today , and as I often tell her—and always will—she is still the most beautiful woman on planet Earth to me . Cecilia, you are more than my wife. You are my best friend, my prayer partner, my quiet strength, and my steady encouragement. You have stood beside me through every season—seen and unseen—offering grace when I fell short, faith when the road was uncertain, and love that never wavered. Your kindness, humility, and unwavering devotion to God and family have shaped not only my life, but the lives of countless others you may never even meet. If there is anything good that has flowed from my life, ministry, or writing, it is because God blessed me with you . You have loved me patiently, prayed for me faithfully, and believed in me consistently. That is a gift beyond measure. If you’d like ...
