🕊️ The Final Day of July 2025: A Time to Reflect and Reset As the calendar flips its last page for July, a unique thought strikes: It will be one hundred years before we see the digits 25 in a year again— 2125 to be exact. Pause on that for a moment. It places this day— July 31, 2025 —into perspective. A day like today will not return in your lifetime. It reminds us that time is not just passing; it’s precious. And how we end one month can shape how we begin the next. Maybe July was a month of unexpected blessings , answered prayers , or long-awaited breakthroughs . If so, give God praise. Or maybe July was a month where you just squeaked by —heavy with burdens, delays, setbacks, or simply survival. If so, don’t hang your head in defeat. The calendar is about to turn, and August 1 is on the horizon. 🌅 A New Month, A New Mindset Scripture tells us in Isaiah 43:18–19: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up...

📖 COMING AUGUST 2025: Will God Forgive Me?   Grace Doesn’t Play Favorites By James Langston How many times have we looked at someone—someone from our past, someone we used to know—and silently thought, “They’ll never change.” Maybe we’ve heard their name whispered in conversations, remembered their actions from years ago, or carried wounds they once caused. And so, we settle it in our hearts: they are who they were. Full stop. But here’s the uncomfortable truth: when we make people prisoners of their past, we dishonor the grace that set us free from ours. Jesus didn’t just come to save the “almost good enough.” He came for the lost, the broken, the publicly shamed, the morally bankrupt—and yes, even the ones we’ve already written off. Grace, by definition, is undeserved. Mercy, by definition, is unfair. And salvation, by its nature, is shocking. If we’re honest, some of us struggle not with the idea that God saves—but with who He saves. The Mirror of Mercy Think about it: if God, through His mercy, redeemed yo...

📝 EXPANDED BLOG POST FOR BLOGSPOT 🗞️ When a Headline Becomes a Hammer — The Art of Media Spin There’s a quote that says, “The first casualty of war is truth.” But today, you don’t need a battlefield for truth to be slain—you just need a news cycle. Let’s start with a harmless sentence: 👉 “The cat killed the rat.” No drama. No backstory. Just a basic statement. But give that same line to five different media outlets, and suddenly, here’s what you get: “How Could He! The Feline Fury Strikes Again” “The Bully with Claws—Predator Targets the Defenseless” “Racially Motivated Killing? White Cat Ends Brown Rat’s Life” “Big Brother Eliminates the Underdog Once Again” “The Forgotten Ones: Why Rats Are Always the Victims” Suddenly, a simple biological event is weaponized into an emotional firestorm. 🧠 The Problem Isn’t Just What’s Reported—It’s What’s Implied Today’s media doesn’t just report facts —it frames narratives . It doesn’t just tell us what happen...

📝 EXPANDED BLOGSPOT POST Title: You'll Miss Us When We're Gone 📍 joybells49.blogspot.com There’s an event coming that the world doesn’t want to talk about—but it’s coming nonetheless. It’s called the Rapture. And it's the next great event on the horizon for believers in Jesus Christ. 📖 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God…” —1 Thessalonians 4:16–18 You may have heard it before—laughed it off, mocked it, or dismissed it as religious fantasy. But here’s the truth: when it happens, the world will know what it lost. Not because we, as Christians, are better—but because we carry something the world doesn't fully understand: The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. What’s Holding Back the Darkness? The Bible teaches that there are three restraining forces holding evil at bay in the world: The Holy Spirit – dwelling in the hearts of believers. Christians – the sa...

📝 Expanded Blogspot Post Title: Clark Kent Christians: Are You Hiding Your Light? By James Langston | joybells49.blogspot.com A few weeks ago, I asked a question on TikTok that resonated with many and rattled a few: “Are you a Clark Kent Christian?”  https://tinyurl.com/npmrett3 You know—the one who looks ordinary, blends in, avoids confrontation, and never really lets the world know they follow Jesus. A mild-mannered believer by day… but never really showing up when the moment calls for truth and courage. To my surprise, the video took off—nearing 1,000 views. The majority were supportive, but the pushback? That’s where it got interesting. Some felt the message was “too judgmental” or “unnecessary.” But I ask you this: What does the Bible say about hiding your light? Matthew 5:14-16 declares: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” “Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stan...

✍️ Expanded Blogspot Post Title: God Has Not Changed—We Have By James Langston | joybells49.blogspot.com "For I am the Lord, I change not..." — Malachi 3:6 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8 There’s a growing belief that God has changed —that He’s become more lenient, more tolerant, more... modern. But that’s not truth. That’s deception. The Lord is not a shifting shadow or a culture-chasing trend. He is holy, consistent, righteous, and eternal . It is we —society, culture, the modern church—who have changed. And not for the better. We’ve blurred the line between holy and profane, between conviction and convenience. Let’s look at the sobering difference between Then & Now —a comparison from 55 years ago to today: Moral Standard THEN (1970s) NOW (2020s) Sex Sacred; reserved for marriage Casual; redefined and devalued Pornography Hidden; considered immoral Mainstream; billion-dollar industry Smoking Dangerous and discou...

📝 Expanded Blogspot Post Title: What’s Coming Next? Why Didn’t Healing Come? Two Books That Speak to Your Deepest Questions By James Langston | joybells49.blogspot.com Have you ever sat in silence, scrolling through headlines, wondering: “Where is this all going?” Or maybe in a hospital room, beside a loved one, crying out: “Why hasn’t healing come?” These are not small questions. They’re life-altering questions. That’s why I wrote two books to speak into those very moments—the questions that shake our faith, trouble our sleep, and stir something deep in our souls. 📘 PROPHECY Available in paperback, hardcover, and Kindle eBook In this book, I examine today’s political, environmental, moral, and spiritual chaos through the lens of God’s Word. Prophecy doesn’t offer sensationalism—it offers Scriptural clarity . It helps believers discern the times, understand where we are in God's timeline, and what role we must play as the world edges closer to final fulfillment....

✍️ Expanded Blogspot Post Title: Don’t Talk Yourself Out of a Blessing URL: joybells49.blogspot.com As This Week Begins — July 20–27 We all want to step into a new week with hope, confidence, and purpose. But sometimes, the first battle we fight isn’t with the enemy—it’s within our own mind. Maybe last week didn’t go the way you planned. Maybe your heart is weary, or your faith feels thin. Maybe you've started to believe the lie that things will never change. But let me tell you something: You are one decision, one act of obedience, one surrendered prayer away from breakthrough. The Word of God reminds us not to measure our future by our past or our purpose by our problems. Joshua knew this when he stood before Israel and boldly declared: “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15 He wasn’t speaking from a place of ease. He was speaking from conviction. So this week, I encourage you to do the same. Speak life when your circumstances shout de...

🌤 In Three Words: It Goes On Saturday Reflection – July 19, 2025 By James Langston A long time ago, I heard a quote that’s never quite left me. I believe it was from poet Robert Frost: “In three words I can sum up everything I’ve learned about life: it goes on.” It struck me as both simple and profound. Life doesn’t wait for us to figure it all out. It doesn’t pause for our questions, or halt for our hurts. It just keeps moving , with or without our permission. And sometimes, that reality is more comforting than we realize. In a world filled with uncertainty, shifting values, political posturing , and relentless chaos, these three words carry a quiet strength: “It goes on.” ⏳ Life Doesn’t Stop—But Neither Does God Today, July 19, 2025, I want to encourage you—whether you’re thriving or barely holding on. You may have endured a hard week. You may be battling grief, discouragement, or confusion. You may even feel like giving up. But here’s the good news: Life is s...
