THE COMING KING

“Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your King comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey.” — Zechariah 9:9

This beautiful prophetic verse points us directly to Jesus Christ—the humble yet victorious King who entered Jerusalem riding on a donkey.

Unlike earthly rulers who often depend upon power, influence, or conquest, Jesus came in gentleness and humility, bringing salvation, peace, and hope to a weary world.

His arrival fulfilled God's long-awaited promise of a Savior who would deliver His people from the bondage of sin and death. Through His perfect, sinless life, sacrificial death upon the Cross, and triumphant resurrection, Jesus accomplished a victory no earthly king could ever achieve.

And He accomplished it for us.

Because He conquered sin and death, forgiveness is available.

Freedom is available.

Hope is available.

And eternal life is available to everyone who places their faith in Him.

As we reflect upon Zechariah's prophecy today, remember the faithfulness of our King. Whatever challenges, uncertainties, disappointments, or difficulties may confront us, Jesus is still King.

His righteousness has not changed.

His promises have not failed.

His authority has not diminished.

And His ultimate victory is already assured.

So today, rejoice!

The King who came in humility is the King who conquered the grave—and He is the King who is coming again.

🙏 PRAYER

King Jesus, thank You for coming to bring salvation, peace, and eternal life. I rejoice in Your humility, righteousness, and victory. Help me to live each day under Your lordship, trusting Your promises and sharing Your love with those around me. May my life always point others toward You.
