🙏 THE WORLD NEEDS OUR PRAYERS

There are moments when the headlines should do more than capture our attention.

They should drive us to our knees.

Across our world tonight, people are grieving, frightened, displaced, hungry, injured, searching for loved ones, fleeing violence, rebuilding shattered homes, and wondering what tomorrow will bring.

As Christians, we cannot solve every crisis.

But neither should we simply scroll past them.

We can pray.

🙏 PRAY FOR COLOMBIA

Pray for the victims and families affected by the devastating earthquake. Pray for those grieving, those injured, those who have lost homes, and rescuers still working amid destruction.

🙏 PRAY FOR THE PHILIPPINES

Pray for communities recovering from Tropical Storm Maymay, other recent storms, and destructive monsoon rains. Pray for families who have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and possessions.

🙏 PRAY FOR THE UNITED STATES

Pray for our nation—for our leaders, our families, our churches, our communities, and those facing disaster. Remember especially those affected by destructive wildfires and severe weather.

🙏 PRAY FOR THE NATIONS AT WAR

Ukraine.

Sudan.

Gaza and the wider Middle East.

Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

And every battlefield, village, city, and family caught in conflicts that may never make our evening news.

Pray for the innocent.

Pray for children.

Pray for refugees and displaced families.

Pray for soldiers and their families.

Pray for humanitarian workers.

Pray for wisdom among leaders.

Pray for peace.

🙏 PRAY FOR THE FORGOTTEN

Some disasters receive worldwide coverage.

Others barely receive a headline.

Some wars dominate the news.

Others continue almost unnoticed.

But there are no forgotten people in the eyes of God.

LET US PRAY

Father, our world is hurting.

Tonight we bring before You people whose names we do not know, living in places we may never visit, enduring suffering we can scarcely imagine.

Comfort those grieving in Colombia.

Strengthen and restore those recovering in the Philippines.

Protect those threatened by fires, floods, storms, violence, and disaster in the United States and around the world.

Lord, enter the places devastated by war.

Protect innocent civilians. Shelter children. Feed the hungry. Heal the wounded. Strengthen humanitarian workers and missionaries serving in dangerous places.

Give wisdom to presidents, prime ministers, military commanders, diplomats, emergency officials, pastors, and community leaders.

Where hatred is growing, sow reconciliation.

Where fear reigns, bring peace.

Where despair has settled, restore hope.

Where people feel forgotten, remind them that You see them.

And Father, forgive us when we become so occupied with our own lives that we forget the suffering happening beyond our doors.

Make the Church compassionate again.

Make us intercessors.

Make us helpers.

Make us peacemakers.

And when there is something more than prayer that You would have us do, give us willing hearts to answer:

“Here am I; send me.”

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

📖 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
