When Unity Is Built on Deception
"I saw all Israel scattered upon the hills, as sheep that have not a shepherd: and the LORD said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace." — 1 Kings 22:17
King Ahab surrounded himself with voices that told him what he wanted to hear. Hundreds spoke in agreement, but only one—Micaiah—spoke the truth from God.
That is the danger of deception.
Satan often disguises deception as unity. When people unite around a lie, it may look strong, popular, and convincing—but it remains a lie. Agreement without truth is not biblical unity; it is spiritual blindness.
God's Word always cuts through the noise. His voice never changes, never compromises, and never contradicts itself.
Notice the Lord's invitation: "...let them return every man to his house in peace."
That same invitation echoes today.
Return to prayer.
Return to the Word of God.
Return to Truth.
Return to worship.
Return to your first Love—Jesus Christ.
Only then will we discover genuine peace—not the temporary calm the world promises, but the lasting peace that comes from walking in obedience to God.
The greatest need of our generation is not louder opinions or larger crowds. It is men and women willing to hear and obey the voice of the Lord.
