“Strength When You Feel Drained”
There are seasons when exhaustion runs deeper than sleep can fix.
It’s not just physical.
It’s emotional.
It’s spiritual.
Responsibilities pile up. Expectations press in. You keep showing up for everyone else — but quietly wonder where your strength will come from.
God never intended for you to run on empty.
Isaiah 40:31 says, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Notice what the verse does not say.
It does not say the strong renew their strength.
It says those who wait on the Lord do.
Waiting, in Scripture, is not passive. It is trust-filled dependence. It is choosing to lean on God instead of leaning only on yourself.
Renewal comes not from striving harder —
but from surrendering deeper.
The eagle does not flap frantically to rise. It catches the current beneath its wings. In the same way, when you position your heart toward God, His strength lifts you where your own cannot.
You may feel tired today.
But tired does not mean defeated.
You may feel stretched.
But stretched does not mean abandoned.
God specializes in renewing what feels depleted.
You don’t have to prove your strength.
You only have to seek His.
Pause. Breathe. Wait on Him.
Strength is coming.
You will rise.
You will run.
You will not faint.
🙏 Morning Prayer
Father, You see the places where I feel worn down. I confess that I sometimes try to carry everything on my own. Teach me to wait on You. Renew my strength where I feel weak. Lift my perspective above my pressure. Help me move forward today not in my own power, but in Yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
